By the end of 2009, ONE OK ROCK had released their breakout album "Kanjō Effect" (Nov 2008), dropped a massive single: "Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer", completed national tours and grown their fanbase rapidly (even with five-month hiatus). So this MTV event came right at the tipping point—they were no longer just a rising band, but about to enter their national breakout era.
