Soma Genda is a highly versatile and respected Japanese music professional—credited as a composer, arranger, lyricist, music producer, guitarist, and recording engineer. He began playing piano and guitar as a child and started composing while still in high school. Genda's wide-ranging expertise spans genres such as rock, pop, dance, and film scoring, blending solid music-theory grounding with a sharp talent for track-making—qualities that have earned him acclaim across the Japanese music industry.

As a member of the songwriting collective MUSIC FOR MUSIC, he is known for performing on his own arrangement works (typically on guitar) and serving as music producer and sound director for HYBE Labels Japan group &TEAM, where he contributes across roles including songwriting, arranging, playing instruments (keyboards, guitar, bass, synthesizer), programming, vocal arrangements, edits, and recording.

On ONE OK ROCK's 2025 DETOX album, Soma is credited as a co-writer on the track C.U.R.I.O.S.I.T.Y., which uniquely features guest vocalists Paledusk and CHICO CARLITO.
