Makoto Minagawa is a keyboardist, composer, arranger, producer, and sound designer, renowned for his transparent, floating sound textures and widely acclaimed for his emotionally resonant arrangements.

Makoto began playing piano at age 3 and experimented with arranging and synthesizers by middle school. He studied music formally at Showa University of Music in Kawasaki and launched his professional career in the mid-1990s.

Makoto Minagawa collaborated with ONE OK ROCK during the JINSEI x BOKU =, contributing piano performances to several tracks (notably tracks 4, 6, 9, and 10). Known for his transparent and floating textures, his playing enriched the album's emotional depth. His contributions supported the band's move toward a more globally refined sound while preserving the raw intensity of their Japanese rock roots.
