Kenta Matsumoto is the charismatic frontman, bassist, and primary songwriter of the Japanese rock band WANIMA. Known for his high-energy stage presence and positive lyrical themes, Kenta has been instrumental in shaping WANIMA's signature sound that blends pop-punk, melodic hardcore, and infectious hooks. Beyond his work with WANIMA, Kenta is recognized for his collaborative spirit and influence in Japan's contemporary rock scene.

Kenta's connection with ONE OK ROCK extends beyond shared stages. Most prominently, he and ONE OK ROCK's vocalist Taka both contributed to the charity track Mōichido under the Re: Project, released on June 5, 2020. This song featured a lineup of top Japanese artists, emphasizing unity and hope during challenging times (COVID).

Additionally, Kenta and ONE OK ROCK have appeared together at major live events, including WANIMA's 1CHANCE Festival in 2024, where ONE OK ROCK performed as one of the headlining acts. These collaborations highlight the mutual respect and camaraderie between the two musicians. Outside of ONE OK ROCK collaborations, Kenta wrote and composed Sayonara Saraba for the idol-punk group BiSH in 2022 together with Taka and MEG (MEGMETAL), showcasing his versatility as a songwriter.
