Tyler Carter is an American vocalist, songwriter, and producer known for his distinct fusion of R&B, soul, pop, and post-hardcore. Rising to prominence as the co-founder and lead singer of the band Issues, Carter developed a reputation for his exceptional vocal agility—effortlessly switching between clean melodic lines and gritty intensity. Beyond his work with Issues, Carter launched a solo career exploring more groove-driven and emotional musical directions, which further showcased his stylistic versatility.

Recognized for his smooth, emotive tone and genre-blending approach, Carter has become a sought-after collaborator in both the alternative and pop scenes. As of 2025, he is the frontman of The Audacity, a new band that continues his artistic evolution.

Tyler Carter has played an increasingly influential role in ONE OK ROCK's international output since 2014. His first major collaboration came with the song Decision, released on the 35xxxv Deluxe Edition, where he provided guest vocals. The track marked a turning point in the band's journey toward a global audience, and Carter's performance helped bridge the stylistic gap between J-rock and Western alternative music.

Following that, Carter became a recurring creative contributor. On the band's Luxury Disease (2022) and DETOX albums, he co-wrote and composed a significant number of songs. His contributions extended beyond writing—he was involved in vocal direction, engineering, and production, helping shape the polished, emotionally charged sound the band presented to an international audience.

Carter's collaborations with ONE OK ROCK are not limited to the studio. He has also performed with the band live, including at two shows at Makuhari Messe in 2015 and later at U.S. dates during the ONE OK ROCK DETOX North American Tour 2025, where his presence was met with enthusiasm from fans.

Taka and Tyler Carter first met in summer 2014, when both were performing at the ONE OK ROCK at Warped Tour 2014. ONE OK ROCK appeared at the the Warped Tour kick‑off party in Los Angeles on April 1, 2014 and subsequently toured with the festival that season. Years later, Taka confirmed in an interview that he and Tyler met during the Warped Tour and bonded over music, which eventually led to Tyler's involvement on ONE OK ROCK's album 35xxxv.
